Collective planting in The Loop in Ghent

Twice a year, we organise a collective planting event. Various companies can purchase a limited number of trees, and then we all go to a single location to plant a collective corporate forest. This was also the case in February 2025, when we made the industrial area in The Loop in Ghent a lot greener.

Why plant one tree when you can plant 1,000? And why plant alone when you can plant together?

That is the thinking behind our biannual collective planting activities: we rally a large number of companies to plant trees together in a collective corporate forest: the forest belongs to each company in a way. But more importantly, a new piece of greenery has been created in an urbanised area, and each participant rightly feels that they have contributed to this.

In February 2025, we joined forces with Erfgoed & Visie, Interalu, Ikea, Yuki and numerous other companies to create such a collective corporate forest in The Loop in Ghent.

This fits in seamlessly with the City of Ghent's vision of turning The Loop into a green, vibrant urban district.
